Ogun Workers Fulfilled With Amosun Second Term Victory, Says Chairman‏

Ogun State Chapter of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Tuesday disclosed that it is satisfied and fulfilled with the re-election of Senator Ibikunle Amosun as Governor of the State.

Governor Amosun acknowledges cheers after being declared winner in the April 11 polls

Chairman of the Congress, Comrade Akeem Ambali made this known at a campaign rally for his own second term ambition held at hall of Nigeria Union of Pensioners, NUP, situated along Moshood Abiola Way, in Abeokuta the state capital. The Labour Congress election is scheduled to hold Thursday, April 23, at the Congress Secretariat, located along Moshood Abiola Way, Abeokuta.

Speaking further, Ambali emphasized that, the re-election of Amosun would be of great benefits for the workers, adding that he was opmistic that, the number of projects of the union in the pipeline would now get adequate attention of the governor in his second term administration.

His words: "We are happy that the governor won election for return, we are fulfilled and we know its going to be an added advantage for workers. I am also optmistic that, the governor will extend hands of fellowship to us, particularly in regards the number of outstanding projects."

Speaking on his election bid, Ambali assured that if his administration if re-elected he is going to introduce transportation business as revenue generation for the congress.

However, Chairman of Nigeria Union of Pensioners, (NUP), Ogun State Chapter, Olujimi Odukoya in his own remark declared the support of the union for Ambali toward his return ambition.

Odukoya noted that, the union appreciated his (Ambali) administration in the last four years, which he said constitutes a number of achievements, hence the need to continue the good work for another term of four years.
